Thanksgiving Weekend [PLOG]

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

i sure enjoyed mine, it's been a while since i've had a "break"

weather's been really good lately.. -  -;

Family went dim sum 3 days straight LOL.

tbh i'm really reluctant when it comes to dim sum...

odd but yeah i think i went too frequently as a kid >_>;

金都餐廳餅店 [PLOG]

Weather's starting to get warm in vancouver,

YAY. so today went out with parents and bussed to richmond.

My mom wanted to go eat @ 金都餐廳餅店

on Alexandra Rd.

I went there like 3 years ago with friends and i remember the food as pretty decent.

When we got there it was busy as hell...

we waited about 15min for a spot and we got the levitated corner hahaha.

talk about feeling special.

we ordered the 金都無敵全餐,

which is basically 2 choices of appetizer, choice of soup, garlic bread,

one main course and drink included for $11.95

pretty decent cause of the portions for the food.

cause in vancouver a lot of the restaurants are at minimal satisfaction level.

either too greasy or too much msg or too salty.

afterwards i bought some pastries for our afternoon snack.

got some egg tarts,  老婆餅， coconut cream buns.

overall i can say the place is worth going to if you're looking for something to munch on,

it has alot of inexpensive things on the menu.

and might i add the chinese pastries are pretty good there!

but don't be expecting great customer service,

people are whipping in and out and the waiters/servers are busy as hell.

Oh stressful week. [PLOG]

My highschool year is almost coming to an end,

but i've been stressing out about a lot of things.

I have an LPI exam coming up on thursday,

2 weeks from now an AP exam...

then a history 12 essay and not even counting assignments from other classes.

GRAH AND THE DAMN LIMITED JOB ACTION IS NOT HELPING ME.

cause i do need my transcripts but it's such a hassle to get marks from teachers,

then fill out a form and mailing it to the institutes... and it's due APRIL 30th.

UGH. FML.

okay that aside, i have to work harder so there may be a hiatus of my blog.

i will try to post when i have free time like today :]

SO THIS WEEK... let's see i went to apply for mcdonalds...

i didn't get the job ;[ i'm never going to get a part time QQ.

then i went to crystal to meet up with my dad and we ate some stuff at the food court.

i keep forgetting to remember the place's name...

but they have the BEST 凍鴛鴦

me and my dad's meals w/ drinks came to a total of 10$

and i made progress on my key ring project,

finally put the key part and the top part together.

however i am working about the rest of the ring,

if i over heat everything will fall apart. =  =

then today i went out to volunteer @ the vancouver sun run.

i had to wake up at 4:50am, haha man i'm so tired right now.

i didn't drink coffee in the morning either.

my bf came and picked me up at 6am,

then we headed chinatown 新城 for breakfast w/ his dad,

when we got there the buns were fresh.

just out of the steamer, i got a 叉燒包。

很好吃！ 熱辣辣新鮮唧包！

his dad got a 大包 and 雞包,

they're huge. and worth buying, $1.50 - $1.70 for one.

i didn't take pictures because LOL i found it awkward to whip out my camera 

and starting taking pictures of one bun,

but next time i go with my parents i will!

so we reached downtown afterwards and met up with the other volunteers

@ the hyaat hotel, got our tshirts and vests,

our duty was to answer questions and direct people to the right colour starting points,

but in the end it seemed to be ineffective as people went where they want.

it was pretty cold compared to the past week.

and ugh i pulled my butt muscle up to my back trying to get through the massive crowd.

Afterwards I got home it was only 12:30pm,

so after a bit I went out with my parents to 裕記 @ Killarney Market.

their 叉燒瀨粉 and 燒鴨瀨粉 one of the best,

for the 叉燒 you can select 半肥瘦， 瘦，or 肥.

then i ordered their milk tea, which was pretty good :]

haha i gotta work out and lose weight, i'm getting fat.

Easter & Grandpa

HAPPY EASTER Y'ALL

so today we went to richmond

and had dim sum @ Empire Seafood Restaurant.

The food was alright, a bit on the oily side.

and lol i spilled my $2.50 worth of COLD SWEETENED SOY MILK

considering they didn't even offer paper towels or anything ;@

this was really good

 Afterwards a family friend offered to drive us to visit my grandpa.

ALL THE WAY IN SURREY.

when i get my own car, i'll be sure to make more frequent visits.

After everything was done we headed home,

then went to Mui Garden on Victoria Drive.

ugh sooo full right now...

sorry for the sudden BAM of posts,

it's compensation for my lack of posts recently.

My First Wedding Banquet

First Congrats to Paul & Rosana Ng.

this was the very first time i went to a wedding banquet.

it was at 金粵軒海鮮酒家.

LOL my parents made me go on their behalf so oh well food.

AND THEN when we reached there i felt so out of place.

i sat all alone at a table waiting for the banquet to start.

that's where i started taking random pictures at my table.

cute eh? there was a surprise in there.

after a while finally the banquet started 

and i ended up going to the back to the candy bar

to pick up some sweets.

As for the actual food itself,

presentation was great of course,

however quality of the food... i might say otherwise.

as being the first table served on the side,

if our dishes weren't hot or barely warm, 

then i don't even want to know how the food at other tables were.

they had a photo booth set up

AND OMG I COULDN"T RESIST.

my table was so unenthusiastic about it.

thank god selina came with me :D

Uncle daniel sure knows how to make it lively,

his oldies music trivia was really entertaining.

haha my prize.

Yep it was a interesting night :]
