Review: DAISO Charcoal Mask

So really this product has been around for awhile...

I don't know why there was such a sudden hype about it recently.

LOL this was actually sitting in my drawer for quite a long time.

honestly I DO NOT LIKE THIS PRODUCT

you could get better quality masks than this.

the back says it "removes oils and dirt", 

honestly i find this makes it even more messy and dirty.

The product is a thick gooey sticky texture.

NOTE: if you get this on your nails wash it off... it does stain your nails. 

 

I've always suspected it might be the climate where I live,

here it's not humid like other parts of the world and tends to get really dry,

hence making my skin EVEN MORE dry.

LOL. I CRINGE WHEN I SEE PEOPLE APPLY IT TO THEIR ENTIRE FACE.

i've done it before and holy **** felt like i was waxing my face when i peeled it off.

so the most i did was my T-zone... but even then i really didn't like this product.

it doesn't make your pores smaller i can tell you that.

so as you can see form the pictures below,

it dries in a matte dry charcoaly manner?

when i peel it off it looks like friggin burnt newspaper.. 

and as you can see if you don't apply it "evenly" (which is almost impossible)

you get residue left around the area.

ALL IN ALL

Save your money and buy a mask that's going to be:

1. Worth it
2. Do what it says it will do
3. looks better than smearing black goo all over your face

Review: St.Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

I always get asked what is a good exfoliator,

to me the best one hands down is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

It doesn't irritate and dry up your skin,

it does what it is supposed to do,

best of all? it is AFFORDABLE, easily under $5 @ walmart

I have been using this brand for a long long long time.

My "Naturally Clear" one just recently ran out and it was the squeeze bottle type,

So i decided to pick up the big round pot like ones. 

kay first things first... this product smells AMAZING.

even before you use the product the scent just refreshes you.

just simply moisten your face with water then apply the scrub,

rub it around in circular motions then rinse.

results are almost immediate you can feel how smooth and clean your skin is afterwards.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

REVIEW: DERMAL STRAWBERRY MASK

OKAY I DON'T LIKE THIS MASK AT ALL.

it made my skin feel really oily?? slippery?

just MECK. compared to all the other masks... just MECK.

and i broke out in these mini bumps on my cheeks.

*and they are still there

i may switch the strawberry mask in my giveaway with a different mask.

i don't want to give my readers that.

look at that! kay ignore my fuzzy hairy cheeks LOL

 It smelled like those strawberry candies,

which made me excited cause IF IT SMELLS GOOD IT WILL BE GOOD.

that;s not exactly the case here...

the serum itself felt a lot sticker than the other masks.

so i apply it and wtf. felt so uncomfortable against my skin.

 but after i took it off. fml. 

red skin with weird bumps. 

this has to be by far the worst mask i've tried ever.

it moisturized... in the fact it made my skin SUPER OILY FOR 2 days.

 didn't tighten pores or anything.

and my skin doesn't look any brighter ROFL.

REVIEW: DERMAL CUCUMBER MASK

So this is for convergence, moisturizing, soothing.

.... LOL I got mixed feelings about this one.

The Specs Says:

-simple sheet type mask that offers your skin direct nutrition after using and it is possible to go out without washing your face 

- compared to other masks you can feel difference immediately with using it only once, the high quality mask sticks on to your skin and stays on

- contains cucumber extract which is good for moisturizing and calming your tired skin and keeps your skin smooth, clean, and pure

- vitamin e & collagen  provides skin with nutrition and brightens your skin
- makes your skin feel cool when you place it on

 Again it's similar specs as the PEARL and AQUA masks

however... I actually thought this mask was in a way better and crappier.

I thought the sheet itself was cut really oddly,

my skin was a lot more irritated using this mask.

HOWEVER, it tightened my skin, moisturized and i thought whitened it a bit.

it smelled like the typical cucumber smell though.

I personally wouldn't buy this mask in particular again,

because I don't like having irritated skin during the process,

even if it does the job ;P LOL.

REVIEW: DERMAL PEARL MASK

So this is the Dermal Pearl Collagen Essence Mask.

This one is MOISTURIZING, CONVERGENCE, and BRIGHTENING

The Specs Says:

-simple sheet type mask that offers your skin direct nutrition after using and it is possible to go out without washing your face 

- compared to other masks you can feel difference immediately with using it only once, the high quality mask sticks on to your skin and stays on

- contains pearl powder which is effective in keeping the skin moisturized, fresh,and bright

- vitamin e & collagen  provides skin with nutrition and brightens your skin
- makes your skin feel cool when you place it on

Basically same specs as the AQUA MASK

except the "main" ingredient part.

I really can't place my finger down on what the smell is,

it's not a bad smell or anything... somehow it reminds me of chinese lotions

the ones from the chinese pharmacy things. don't ask me why. it just does. LOL

okay that aside... 

compared to the aqua mask it wasn't as moisturizing HOWEVER it did brighten.

and actually quite well.

in fact it actually lightened and faded some of the acne scars on my cheeks.

I have to wait a few more days to see if the whitening/ brightening lasts.

Some masks such as the Tony Moly Tomatox only lasts a few days,

then you're back to square one again.

REVIEW: DERMAL Aqua Mask

So I went to Kmart yesterday @ ABERDEEN.

and i saw these masks 3 for $2.48,

so why not buy some.

So the Aqua Mask is for: Firming, Moisturizing, Refining.

TBH I was pretty damn skeptical because of the korean and japanese.

AND THEN at the back it doesn't say where it's made beside malaysia and hong kong.

If it had any bad effects I wouldn't want to give it to you guys :/ LOL

anywho... on to the review.

THE SPECS SAYS:

so basically... i didn't have high hopes for it.

HOWEVER

it came out better than i thought,

the smell was a lightly scented "ocean" smell (car fragrances or those perfumes)

i was expecting the mask to be rough and cheap material... turned out otherwise.

BUT i can tell you the mask does rip then again you get what you pay for.

my nose upside down LOL

 i have sensitive skin so if anything is not going right i will break out in red blotches.

i had this tingly feeling going on actually when i had the mask on,

and only one bit of red patch that was it.

it actually did firm my skin and moisturize it ;]

I left it on as it said for 20-30min.

one thing i must say i am extremely happy about is that it actually minimized my pores

and my black heads are barely visible now :D  TRIPLE PLUS!

PLUS my skin is actually moisturized even now, and it's been over 12 hours since i used it.

NO FLAKY SKIN :B

Compare to My Beauty Diary masks this is alright I guess.

Price wise appealing and pretty good quality for its price.

Belated Birthday Gift! LUSH

Today I got a surprise from Henry :D

I went to unwrap it and open it... turned out the opening was upside down,
i went "crap" when the foam bits spilled out.

I would say how it smells like but unfortunately i'm too sick and the smell is too overwhelming atm.
